Holy Smoke Cork – A Taste of Cork Event
Holy Smoke Cork
Holy Smoke Cork is located on Little Hanover Street, Centre, Cork, part of the Mardyke entertainment complex, and sits to the rear of The Porterhouse craft beer pub. Holy Smoke specialises in pit-smoked barbecue, cooking 100% Irish meat low and slow between 4 to 16 hours.

The Rebel Review were delighted to be invited to Holy Smoke for A Taste Of Cork event. This event incorporated a six course feast paired with local craft beers, whiskey and informative talks from John Relihan, Caroline Hennessy and Gerard Garland. After hearing many great things about Holy Smoke we were excited to see if it lived up to the expectation.

Decor
The decor really intrigued us, so much so we wanted to find out more about the Buildings History!
Holy Smoke is housed in the original Woodford Bourne Cellars et.1875. At one time, there would be over 50,000 gallons of Dublin and Cork whiskey, Jamaican Rum, French Cognac, ports, sherries and cask of wines.

Holy Smoke contains the red-bricked and vaulted ceilings of the original building and the room is sectioned by metal wire grills with wretched filament- light bulb fittings. The combination of the decor mixed with the low lighting creates a retro and trendy decor with calm and chilled vibes.

The Result
Overall a very enjoyable event, great atmosphere and tasty food.
Our Favourite
Drink, Stonewall Cider for sure! Food, definitely the Brisket Burnt End Sliders and pulled pork sliders are both gorgeous. The sauce in both is on point👌
On the sweet side, the dessert was a little mouthful of heaven and we definitely recommend it😋

Recommendation
