Saturday the 4th of March The Rebel Review attended Cork Fashion Trail organised by Cork Blogger and Stylist Marie Barry Murphy. This was a great opportunity to check out some of the best style the City has to offer!

First Stop – Starbucks on Opera Lane
Upstairs in a funky room we were treated to delicious cakes and croissants. We were welcomed by Julie Evans (PR and Marketing Manager of Opera Lane) Each blogger received an Only tote bag containing a t-shirt and a necklace. Fabulous gift, absolutely adore the scarf!
After some mingling and eating, Fashion Stylist and Personal Shopper for Opera Lane, Natasha Crowley talked through Spring and Summer trends for 2017. There are many stylish pieces to be found on Opera Lane. The big trends for this year include florals, strips, denim, double denim, gingham and frills. If you are a lover of neutral colours you can add a pop of colour with accessories such as a shoe or handbag.

2nd Stop – Olori Boutique on 131 Oliver Plunkett
At Olori Boutique we were welcomed by sisters Susan and Lisa, very friendly girls. We were was really feeling the VIP treatment here with the complimentary champagne and chocolates! Here you will find a selection of high quality and tailored wardrobe essentials by both Irish and international designers. Some of the stock includes funky jewellery, shoes and many great outfit wear for occasions. The beautiful aroma throughout the shop was Alchemist Parfum range, which is available to buy in store. Olori are currently the only stockists of this beautiful fragrance in Ireland. If you are looking for stylish and timeless pieces pop into Olori.
Third Stop – Miss Daisy Blue in Unit 12-14, Market Parade, 51/53 Patrick Street
If you are lusting for something unique and different, Miss Daisy Blue is like stepping into a time machine and landing in vintage heaven. There is a mixture of one off pieces of clothing, faux fur coats, hats and accessories from the 1930’s to 1980’s for both women and men. There is also a Vintage bridal range by appointment. We were kindly treated to some delicious cakes! If you are a vintage fanatic, Miss Daisy Blue is definitely a vintage emporium not to be missed!
4th Stop – Saville Menswear on 43/44 Oliver Plunkett Street
Wow the suits in here are definitely OHH LAA LAA. Damien Buckley, the sales consultant gave us a nice tour and talk through the three floors. We didn’t realise the place was so big, the decor is stylish, modern with a beautiful staircase! The ground floor houses Casual Wear, the second Corporate Wear and the third is made to measure and house tailored suits for Special Occasions or Weddings. Saville stock top brands such as Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger & many more. If you want a tailor-made bespoke suit, Saville are there to help you choose the perfect outfit for any occasion.
5th Stop – The Shoe Suite & O’ Dwyers Footwear on Maylor Street
In the Shoe Suite we received a very warm welcome. We were treated to a lovely selection of cakes and juices and €20 discount voucher. Inside one of the envelopes was a lovely guess wallet which Clodagh of All Things Nice won, lovely touch! This shop stocks stunning international footwear brands including the Kendal and Kylie range, handbags and accessories. If you want to purchase good quality shoes…The Shoe Suite should definitely be on your list!
6th Stop – Duke’s Cafe on Carey’s Lane
We stopped at Dukes for Lunch. This was definitely the perfect place for us Bloggers to eat, relax, refuel, recharge and mingle. There was sockets to recharge our electronics, perfect after a busy morning of snapping, tweeting and instagraming #CorkFashionTrail. We relaxed in the comfy seats and couches and ate many different bitesized nibbles. Have a look at the picture below, doesn’t the food look delicious? The staff were very friendly and took the time to chat with us, take some pictures and make a video for instagram of the great banter we had!
7th Stop – Phoenix V on 8 Maylor Street
In Phoenix V we were greeted to a 10% Discount Voucher, cakes and champagne. Phoenix V stock a range of dresses to suit every event, debs, weddings, graduations etc. Dresses come in sizes 6 to 16 or can be custom made. Marie modelled some dresses for us, she looked gorgeous! 8th Stop – Swarovski at 42 Princes Street
I absolutely love Swarovski and therefore could not wait to get here. There was yummy chocolate covered marshmallows, bubbly and a goodie bag containing 10% discount voucher, crystal star decoration and a keyring. We were spoiled! We loved gazing at the beautiful display of elegant jewellery and fashion accessories. If your looking for that staple jewellery piece, Swarovski is definitely worth a look. If your a Beauty and The Beast fan, make sure to check out the new Beauty and the Beast authentic and detailed limited edition range, it looks really cool.
9th Stop – The Athlete’s Foot on Oliver Plunkett Street
The Athlete Foot has trendy athletic footwear with some of the world’s most renowned brands (Converse, Nike, Puma and Vans) We were greeted with a goodie bag containing a Cap and a T-Shirt. We also received a discount of 25%, which was very kind. There is a great vibe in The Athlete Foot, lovely modern decor with very stylish and resonably priced runners.
Wrap Party – Clayton Hotel Cork City
Our tables were reserved and we were treated to our very own Blogger menu with tasty finger food and cocktails. We had the Barcardi Sea Breeze cocktail, delicious! Fast service and the perfect place to chat with other bloggers.
